Easy Super Bowl Finger Foods

We love any chance to make our food for gatherings festive and fun! Try these simple ideas to enhance your visual display of these easy Super Bowl finger foods.

7 layer bean dip:

  • Large Can of refried beans
  • 16oz Sour Cream
  • 1 Packet of Taco Seasoning
    • Mix the taco seasoning into the sour cream
  • 5 avocados with lemon or lime juice to taste (or pre-packaged guacomole)
  • 1.5 tomatoes chopped (or pre-packaged salsa)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Small can of chopped olives
  • Tortilla chips

Traditionally when we make this dip we layer: the refried beans, the sour cream/taco seasoning spread, guacomole, and then top with cheese, chopped tomatoes, and finish with olives.

However, to have a little football twist, we put the guacomole on top and created field lines with sour cream and a small olive for the football.  Another option is the football shape: in this one, have guacomole be your last layer, but save some refried beans to create the football and detail with sour cream.

*TIP: Easiest to detail with sour cream if you put it in a piping bag or ziplock with the tip cut off.

Cheese ball and crackers:

  • The cheese ball and crackers is a crowd pleaser.  We loved that Ritz crackers came out with these football imprinted crackers.
  • All you need is some crackers of any kind and a cheese ball.  We got our pre-packaged from our local grocery store, but you can always make your own.  Then add some football detail with some sliced cheese, easy!

Cupcakes:

  • Last, but not least is a simple addition to a chocolate cupcake.  Just use a piping bag or ziplock with the tip cut off to add the lace details with frosting onto the cupcake.  Again, so simple, but makes a visual impact for your Super Bowl party!
