The Invitation:

We are big fans of searching Etsy shops for the perfect invitation that fits each party.  The creators on Etsy are so talented and design beautiful products.  For this Valentine’s Day Party we decided to go with the shop, HoneydesignStore.  They give you a digital link and then you are able to edit all the information on your own.  You then print it or send it out digitally, it’s great!  We also purchased the matching favor tags, they are darling!

The Decor:

The Valentine decor was simple.  The table cloth, heart plates, and heart centerpiece were all from dollar tree.  We cut out heart shapes from different color cardstock and taped them to the walls.  We used a XOXOXO banner like this one as well as  this red and white Valentine fan set as decor.   The vase has wooden Valentine sticks that we have had for years.  The individual red cupcake stands were found at the target dollar section and are similar to these mini gold cupcake stands.

The Treats:

We decided to put together a Valentine colored charcuterie of sweet treats!  This was so fun and there are so many options out there to build your board.  We decided to use: Suavi Cremas Napolitano wafers, valentine candy corns, valentine colored mms, conversation hearts, heart shaped starburst jellybeans, circus animal crackers, white pretzels, and regular starbursts.  We had a pink heart tray that we used, but anything works…then you just add your candy creating a beautiful display!Valentine Treat Charcuterie

The Activities:

We had a few activities planned for the party and will share them here.

  • DECORATE SUGAR COOKIES: We first thought it would be fun to decorate sugar cookies.  We didn’t have time to bake our own sugar cookies and make our own frosting so we checked a local grocery store and were happily surprised when we found prepackaged kits!!!

  • GIANT VALENTINE MATCHING GAME: We took a break and left the table so it could be cleaned up from sugar cookies.  We went and had the girls play the giant Valentine Matching Game.  This is always a hit with younger kids.  CLICK HERE FOR FREE VALENTINE MATCHING PRINTABLE!!

  • COLOR AND BEDAZZLE VALENTINE SIGNS: We then had them color and decorate Valentine wooden signs that came from dollar tree.  We added these colorful jewels to bedazzle the signs as well.  I was actually surprised at how well they liked this activity, but it kept them busy for a solid 20 minutes.

  • BINGO: We found these BINGO cards at the dollar tree and used conversation hearts as markers. BINGO is always a hit!  We have created a FREE BINGO PRINTABLE THAT YOU CAN GET BY CLICKING HERE!!! This isn’t the BINGO in the pictures, but a free printable that we created in the past.

  • MUSICAL CHAIRS:  Lastly, we had the girls play musical chairs using large hearts placed on the floor.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good picture of it.  We just took 12X12 cardstock and cut large heart out of each sheet.  We then placed them in a circle as the spots the people would try to stand on as the music stops.

The Favors:

We found everything for the favors from the Dollar Tree, but remember…you have to shop early!  If you want to get anything good for any holiday from the dollar tree, you have to go right when they put it out, it goes quick!!

We found a package of red hearts that open, which we filled with starburst.  We then put the heart, a candy bracelet, and valentine ring inside a goodie bag.
